My grandma, Wanda Lifferth, graduated from the U of U as an elementary school teacher. She married my grandpa, Henry R. Lifferth who died in 1997. They had 13 kids! and lived in a tent on several occasions, even thru the winter. She is one of the most beautiful woman I know. She is now 90 years old and is neither here nor there. She has been plagued with Alzheimer for over 15 years now. When I am with her, I can feel her spirit and I know it knows mine. She is very special. I looked forward to the day when she will be able to communicate again.
Love You grandma.

3 weeks in a row we have had the opportunity to help the flood victims in our area. The 1st presidency in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has canceled our stakes church so we can go out and take out water-soaked furniture, carpet, picture albums and other personal items. As well as pull out drywall, and flooring. On Sundays we go to church in our work clothes have a 15 min sacrament meeting, then off to work we go! It has been beautiful to see the the church take the “ox out of the mire” so to speak, to help those in need instead of just sitting at church and preaching about it. This has been a real testimony to a lot of us. We had around 1000 helpers this past week! The 1st presidency called in surrounding stakes in New Jersey as well as bus loads from NYC, Brooklyn and Queens. We drove a sister, Grace, from one of the sites and she said in her thick Brooklyn accent that a fireman came up to her and said “you all have been such a blessings as if God has sent you!” She innocently replied “He has! God has sent us!”. I love her pure spirit.

It was a wet one! At least the girls didn’t mind being inside. The girls are both very happy with their teachers. Madeline is in 6th grade! and is a safety patrol officer. She helps the kids off the bus in the mornings and safely back on after school. Ellies 4th grade teacher is due to have a baby the first week in October, the class is all very excited, they are also anticipating a long term sub.

We had a wonderful time visiting our family in Virginia! We met our newest family member, the beautiful Zara! She is so sweet and tiny. The girls LOVED playing with their little cousins James, Jackson and Vienna. The weather was perfect maybe a little warm… 89*)
as so was the company. Both of the Jacobs (A&J & S&A) have done some serious renovations and additions onto their homes! It is so fun to see their progress. We had some time to “swing” by D.C. on our way home. We had a wonderful trip!

The girls spring break was temperamental. a lot of rain, but were fortunate to have 2 days of upper 60′s.
We familiarized ourselves with our bikes for the first time in 2011. Took them to the park and to the grocery store. We took advantage of a rainy day and headed to Toms River. The
girls and I got a cheap hotel with a pool. Spent the evening swimming then loaded up on snacks and watched movies. The next day was nicer, so we went and walked along the beach, and the boardwalk and spent hours in an aquarium. Besides missing there dad and Petey, I think we had a rather nice time. I loved spending hang out time with my girls!

Christian's mistake
Christian goes up against Martha Stewart amour from her Kmart home collection. Breaks pinky knuckle bone in 3 places. Never go up against Martha. Lesson learned.
